The Alternative Burger- Choices Vegan Cafe

The Alternative Burger- Choices Vegan Cafe

Choices can be real nice, but did we lose you at Vegan?

Hang in there, even if you are appalled by a meatless life…

For those of you that were hoping to read about some of the best burgers in town, we sincerely don’t mean to disappoint, but we won’t apologize either.

Don’t get us wrong, we love any take on two buns and a meat patty in between but for your sake we don’t want to sound redundant or fruitless. We just couldn’t stand for that.

We feel you might’ve already:

a. Made up your mind about your own personal favorite, meaning you know where you would go for what you consider to be the best burger or

b. Had enough burger babble for this month

However, others have done the time, investigating the inner and outer layers of these bun creations.

And…if you are still curious, fill up here and here, to stack up on your burger cravings this month.

Wrapping up this month, we did find this remote-ish diner style café in the Roads, Choices, a small establishment with lime green, orange and white walls.

Really, a simple place where you can see all the cooking that is being done if you are sitting across the narrow counter and turn your body to face the action.

Everything smells outrageously right, spot on.

The menu is helpful, providing those options that will come out fast and those that others prefer.

We went straight to the burger and sandwich section of the menu; naturally we were on the quest for something burger-esque.

We decided on the SIMRAN BURGER ($12), Ezekiel Bun, Garbanzo, Lentil & Pea Patty, Sauteed Onions, Lettuce, Tomato, Daiya Cheese and House Sauce.

This burger should not be defied; it exceeded all our expectation, tasteful and playful in the usage of ingredients with enticing colors in the plating.

No gimmicks here, our knees were weak, our eyes went bonkers, our mouth salivated when we took the first, second, third… and last bite.

We know what you are thinking, a patty made out of lentils and beets. Give it a chance.

Food is always better when it is inventive and when it takes on its very own perspective.

Other stuff we enjoyed:

BERRY LOVE Super Smoothie ($10)-Strawberry, dates, cacao, maca, goji berries, almond butter, almond milk, ice

Baked Sweet Potato Fries ($4.50)

VA’S INSANE MEXICAN WRAP($13)-Black Beans/Quinoa, Soy Chorizo, Pico de gallo, Ptlantain, Sautéed Onion, Bell pepper, Daiya Cheese *Substitute walnut meat for soy for additional $2

LA PIXSA- Daiya Cheese, Black Beans, Tomato, Walnut Meat, Red and Green Bell Pepper, Pico, Carrots, Onion, Pesto on a Sprouted Crust (Optional: Chipotle sauce)
