2018 Golden Globes means we took it upon ourselves to plain your themed Sunday night dinner. De nada.

If you’re going out to dinner and recording the Golden Globes this Sunday, January 7th, remember to turn off all CNN-notifications so they don’t ruin the big winners of the night. In the meantime, check out what we did here and how you should do a themed Sunday night dinner around this year’s best picture nominees.

Salumeria 104
Neighborhood: Midtown
Nominated for Best Picture (DRAMA): Call Me By Your Name

Call Me By Your Name takes place in Moscazzano, a commune in the northern Italian region of Lombardy which pairs perfectly with the northern Italian dishes at Salumeria 104.

La Fresa Francesa
Neighborhood: Hialeah
Nominated for Best Picture (Drama): Dunkirk

There’s not a dull moment in this movie which takes place in Dunkerque, a Northern French town, and neither will there be one at La Fresa Francesa.

Upland
Neighborhood: Miami Beach
Nominated for Best Picture (Drama): The Post

This Meryl Streep movie follows the lives of  The New York Times and The Washington Post’s journalists during the 70s. We thought it would be fun to explore some of our favorite New York and DC restaurants that have made Miami their second home. Upland is one of them but there’s more below!

Lucali
Neighborhood: Miami Beach
Nominated for Best Picture (Drama): The Post

From Brooklyn to Miami Beach. Pizza night it is.

Matador Room
Neighborhood: Miami Beach
Nominated for Best Picture (Drama): The Post

Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s arroz con pollo get’s us everytime.

Bazaar Mar by Jose Andres at SLS Brickell
Neighborhood: Miami Beach
Nominated for Best Picture (Drama): The Post

Although originally from Spain, Jose Andres has created a restaurant empire in DC. His latest Miami venture, Bazaar Mar should not be missed.

La Petite Maison
Neighborhood: Miami Beach
Nominated for Best Picture (Drama): The Shape of Water

This one was a stretch but here’s our best attempt. Set in Baltimore, the protagonist falls in love with an amphibian. Escargots are actually reptiles but close enough right? Order this dish as an appetizer at La Petite Maison.

Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink
Neighborhood: Design District
Nominated for Best Picture (Drama): Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Takes places in contemporary American so why not have some modern American food. We’ll go with Michael’s Genuine for some refined American grub.
