Hummus, fried chicken, and donuts on your mind. 

Okay, so we cheated a bit this month and picked two winners for Restaurant(s) of The Month, August edition. We just couldn’t decide between The Federal Donuts and Dizengoff. Both are concepts from James Beard Award Winning Chef, Michael Solomonov who is best known for Zahav, his Philly based restaurant with Modern Israeli flavors.

These two adjacent establishments have been quite the hit in the Wynwood neighborhood. Dizengoff offers a hummus based menu with merguez (spicy lamb sausage), fava beans, and more. While The Federal Donuts joins in on Miami’s donut craze with flavors such as blueberry mascarpone and chocolate eclair. And if that’s not enough to make your mouth salivate, The Federal Donuts is also serving fried chicken with three types of glazes. Our favorite: the honey ginger glaze.
