Octopus Empanadas & Souffle Potatoes for a Celebratory Meal

What to expect: If you’re looking for a nice steakhouse to take the team after nailing a client pitch, or you’re celebrating an anniversary with a loved one, this should be your restaurant of choice. The venue is sophisticated but certainly not intimidating. It’s spacious and elegant; and the perfect place for grownups to enjoy a nice grownup meal together.

The Menu: The menu at PM Buenos Aires (PM stands for Puerto Madero, a barrio occupying a significant portion of the Río de la Plata riverbank) is heavily influenced by Argentina’s coastal cuisine. Lots of fish, seafood, pasta and empanada offerings that will make you want to keep going; but remember, the meat game is STRONG here. Are they large? Yes. Are they filling? Also yes. Are they worth it? Absolutely.

What to order: We’ll start off by letting you know that the soufflé potatoes alone are a good enough reason to keep coming back…#LOVEATFIRSTBITE. In case you haven’t experienced one yet, they are just like French fries, but are filled with (and as light as) air. A must try! If you want to kickoff your dinner with a South American classic, go for some Argentine empanadas. Meat and Tuna were our picks but we hear the octopus ones taste as good as they sound! The Chorizo is another traditional delight.

For the main course, the lovely manager Mariana recommended us to share a meat and seafood dish.., and we did. The octopus was grilled to perfection; bringing in that moist/flavorful/fresh combo. The skirt steak was high quality, and impeccably tender.

Although the cheesecake is known for taking the cake for best dessert here, we went for the Chocolate Truffle Cakeand the Dulce de Leche Souffle. QUEEEEEEE RICOOOO, you guys. Really, it was divine.

Off the menu: PM Buenos Aires regulars love to order what was once a special on the menu: risotto. The two most requested ones are the Truffle Risotto and the Parmesan Risotto. On the weekends, Tomahawk steaks are available for guests upon request.
