Pubbelly Sushi Dadeland
Location: Downtown Dadeland
Address: 8970 SW 72 Place, Miami, FL 33156
Meal type: Lunch, Dinner, Happy Hour
Ambiance: Casual Chic
Background music: Reggae, Latin, and alternative tunes – there’s music for every taste. Don’t forget to check out their weekly playlist on display.
What to wear: From dresses to sweatpants, anything goes.
What to expect: You can expect the same delicious menu items that you know and love from the OG Pubbelly Sushi. A large bar, intimate seating, dim lighting, and industrial décor also set the vibe for this neighborhood sushi tavern.
The Menu: Pubbelly’s modern-day sushi concept features a diverse menu with quality ingredients broken out by classics, snacks, robata grill, vegetables, sushi & sashimi. You’ll find PB classics like the butter krab roll, the salmon tartare taquito, plus a variety of shared plates like the screaming orgasm. For those who love a sushi and sake combo, you’ll be glad to hear that sake is at the heart of their fun and deliciously crafted cocktails.
What to order: We won’t judge you for wanting one of everything, but here are some of our favorites:
Salmon Tartare Taquitos: A fresh take on our favorite handheld snack. This taquito features avocado mousse, pico de gallo, masago roe, and fresh salmon tartare in a crunchy shell. It comes with two per order so it’s the perfect appetizer for you and your date to share.
Screaming Orgasm: This R-rated named dish will make your taste buds go oOoOo. It features seared bigeye tuna on a bed of daikon and is topped with the perfect amount of spicy ponzu and masago roe. We recommend you order as a shareable appetizer.
Butter Krab Roll: Prepare for heaven in your mouth…Pubbelly has managed to deliciously combine two of our favorite foods, sushi & butter. While it may seem like a crazy combination, it all makes sense when you dip this soy paper crab roll into a cup of warm clarified butter.
Coco Loco: Transport yourself to a tropical paradise. Served in a coconut, this sweet treat is filled with coconut ice cream, compressed pineapple, spiced blondie and brown butter streusel. You’ll find yourself scraping the inside of the coconut to ensure you got every last bit of this delicious goodness.
Off the menu: While we don’t recommend it, you can always opt for traditional sushi rolls that didn’t make it to the PB menu. Their sushi chefs are equipped to make you a dragon roll, JB roll, or California roll if you prefer to roll with something a little more basic.
How to score a table: Pubbelly Sushi Dadeland accepts walk-ins, but if you prefer not to wait you can always call ahead for a reservation or use OpenTable.
