WHAT YOU MISSED AT THE HUNGRY POST BRUNCH CLUB.

It’s been a crazy start to the year but we’re back. Our first Brunch Club was exactly what you needed to disconnect.

On Saturday, March 13th from 12 PM to 7 PM at The Deck at Island Gardens, our Hungries gathered for an afternoon of food, drinks and some of Miami’s best waterfront views. This outdoor brunch was a seated experience featuring a new menu by Chef Joseph Bonavita and cocktails by Sipsmith Gin.

Chef Joseph Bonavita draws inspiration from his Sicilian background and focuses on “ingredient-driven, global cuisine.” He was the executive sous chef of Todd English’s flagship restaurant, Olives and most recently the executive chef of STK Miami Beach.

The Hungry Post’s Brunch Club featured dishes prepared by Chef Joseph, such as the Sunday Steak and Eggs with your choice of 10 oz Wagyu flat iron steak or filet mignon, Maine Lobster Roll with butter, poached Maine Lobster, preserved lemon aioli, truffle French fries, Sicilian Brioche French Toast with pomegranate, jam, vanilla gelato and more.

Guests completed their brunch experience with The Deck at Island Gardens’ popular Seafood Tower that included east and west coast oysters, chilled mussels, clams, gulf shrimp, Alaskan King Crab, Maine Lobster, Tuna Tartare, and the Ceviche of the day.

If you were looking for something sweet? Pastry Chef Joyce Camejo who previously worked for El Cielo, Bachour, Cvltvra, and Obra Kitchen put her spin on new desserts such as the Vanilla Sponge Cake Baked Alaska and the Boozy Gelato Board with 1942 Tequila Gelato, Rum Gelato, Dom Perignon & Pineapple Gelato, warm chocolate bites and pistachio marshmallows.

All Brunch Club guests purchased a $25 entrance ticket and booked a table reservation by contacting rsvp@hungrypost.com or through The Hungry Post’s Concierge via WhatsApp at 786-760-1908. Some of the proceeds of the $25 entrance ticket went to #FeedTheChain, The Hungry Post’s social initiative to help keep South Florida’s food system alive. By supporting The Hungry Post’s #FeedTheChain, we are able to continue buying meals from local restaurants in Miami and feed the most vulnerable in our community.

Can’t wait to see your pretty little faces for the next one! Here’s what you missed:
