What to Expect:
1111 Peruvian Bistro has recently changed their Peruvian menu, bringing us a mix of traditional dishes and chefs’ creations – like the sticky shrimp roll below. It’s a hidden gem in the heart of Brickell – next to El Tucán on the first floor of the Axis Building. Very cute outdoors area, beautiful restaurant, and bar with a great open kitchen!

The Menu:
The new menu brings many typical Peruvian dishes with a modern twist, as well as other eclectic bites by Chef Martin Monteverde in collaboration with Chef Enrique.

What to Order:
Aji de Gallina Empanadas: Probably the MUST on this menu. We had to come back for more! The empanadas come with the “zarza (salsa) criolla”, topped with onions, tomatoes, and vinegar.

Ceviche Apaltado: A twist on traditional ceviche with a similar “leche de tigre” lime taste that you are probably accustomed to but with chunks of avocado (or “palta” like Peruvians usually call it). Definitely a starter option to share.

Crispy Shrimp: Think of chunky ramen noodles topped with the best shrimp tempura in a spicy mayo sauce. If you’re not drooling over this already, then what are you doing!? Don’t answer that.

Lomo Saltado: Very traditional and well made. Includes a fried egg on top which definitely goes well with the “arroz con choclo” (rice with Peruvian corn).

Mouse de Lúcuma: You don’t easily find a great Lúcuma dessert in Miami. This is EXCEPTIONAL! Make sure to save some space for dessert!

How to Score a Table:
Walk-ins are welcome but you may also call to reserve a table. If you’re feeling like a “night at the bar”, their full menu is also available.
