The Hungry Post hosted the first hands-on cooking experience at La Mar by Gastón Acurio thanks to:
We’re super excited to share that The Hungry Post recently hosted the first ever Peruvian cooking class at one of our favorite restaurants in Miami!
On Thursday, April 17th, Hungries joined us at 6:30 PM at La Mar by Gastón Acurio in Brickell, for an interactive class led by Chef Diego Oka on how to cook an Ají de Gallina, a classic Peruvian dish.

We kicked off the evening with pisco sours and appetizers such as Causa Crab and Tiradito Lujoso. Moving on to the main event, we enjoyed Peruvian rosé wine as we followed along Chef Diego Oka’s step by step demonstration on the preparation of this spicy and creamy Peruvian comfort dish. All of this while sipping Maison Perrier sparkling waters and Acqua Panna still waters.

After cooking, eating and drinking, we had to end la noche con un toque dulce with Chamoyada and Lucuma & Chocolate de postre!

This was an intimate event with limited spots that included a very special cooking class, Peruvian drinks and shared dishes by La Mar by Gastón Acurio.
Everyone who attended got a Perú, The Hungry Post and La Mar by Gastón Acurio branded tote bag with an Ají de Gallina recipe card; Lima travel cards; Peruvian Hot Sauce made by Gastón Acurio, The Hungry Post hats; La Mar by Gastón Acurio chocolate bar and Sanpellegrino®️ Zero Grams Added Sugar drinks.

Here is what went down at this sold-out class!
