We are so excited to introduce our networking event series called The Hungry Post Sobremesa. These dinners aim to bring people together, foster relationships, and provide a platform for learning and empowerment.

The Hungry Post Sobremesa is an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and explore a concept deeply rooted in our Latin culture, “la sobremesa.”

The term “sobremesa” refers to staying at the dinner table long after the meal has ended, engaging in captivating conversations and genuine connections.

We recently hosted our first iteration of The Hungry Post Sobremesa presented by Maker’s Mark on Wednesday, July 26th at Maty’s in Midtown. Hungries joined us at this delicious Peruvian restaurant for Maker’s Mark cocktails, a family-style menu, a diverse group of female panelists, and of course an amazing sobremesa.

At the center of every “sobremesa” gathering, there is always good food, por supuesto! Chef Valerie Chang created a menu with Maty’s greatest Peruvian hits. Dishes included Tiradito de Atun with canary beans, red onion, ají limo; Cebiche Tradicional made with black grouper, choclo, red onion, ají limo; Chita Asada, a whole roasted dorade with chives, and an aji amarillo beurre blanc sauce; the most delicious rice and beans, y más.

While enjoying their Maker’s Mark cocktails and Peruvian meal, guests were able to hear and learn from four entrepreneur female panelists. As thought leaders and business owners, the panelists shared with the group their incredible insights, and experiences, and got real about their entrepreneurial journeys.

After hearing from these amazing women, we wrapped up the panel with questions from the audience, and of course dessert.
