We held the first Happy Hour of 2025 for Los Socios at MIKA, Chef Michael White’s newest restaurant in The Plaza Coral Gables. Known for his six Michelin stars and James Beard Award, his new concept draws inspiration from the coasts of Italy and France combined with his signature style of cooking. On Wednesday, January 29, members gathered at 6 PM at this chic spot for a night of Brugal 1888 Rum cocktails and complimentary bites.

Menu highlights included Black Truffle Beef Tartare Crostini, Grilled Scampi Skewers, Cacio e Pepe Arancini and Lobster Burrata. The cocktail menu featured The Leon Swizzle, Gables Negroni and Hemingway’s Darkside, all made with Brugal 1888 Rum.

In case you didn’t know, Los Socios del Hungry Post membership is limited. There’s an application process, and we’ve only opened up 100 spots for the first round of founding members.
