The Hungry Post recently launched its newest event format—Stop the Swipe: Cocktail Making Class—a singles only experience to take you off those dreadful apps and closer to real-life connections.

On Thursday, May 7, Hungry solter@s joined us at The Roof, Design District’s sleekest new rooftop at The Moore, for an evening of Hennessy Cognac cocktails, bites, y maripositas en la barriga!

For this event we teamed up with Matchbox to ensure the best vibes and lowering the chances of them playing games with your heart!

Curious about how the night flowed? Here’s what went down:

• The Arrival: We kicked the night off with a Hennessy Cognac cocktail (para calmar un poco esos nervios) and guests filled out a survey that assigned them to a specific table based on shared interests and preferences.
• The Icebreaker: Each table got a fun Hennessy Cognac shot with some conversation starters curated by yours truly to get that energy flowing y todos fueron dejando la pena a un ladito.
• The Experience: While enjoying bites, talented mixologists went from table to table personalizing this experience! Guests mastered the art of crafting a delicious Hennessy Cognac cocktail all while mingling.
• The Surprise Reveal: At the end of the night, guests received a Matchbox notification to their phone revealing their match who was sitting at their table all along!
