The Hungry Post hosted a Brunch Club at COTOA thanks to:

For the second time around, we celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month and Arepa Month with an amazing brunch!
The Hungry Post Brunch Club presented by Harina P.A.N. was a chance to connect with friends, family y nuestra cultura Latina through food and drinks (obvio).

On Sunday, September 14th Hungries joined us at 12 PM as we took over COTOA in North Miami, an Ecuadorian restaurant, recognized by the Michelin Guide.

Chef Alejandra Espinoza from COTOA teamed up with Alberto Zanetti from Tina in the Gables, recently named one of the Best New Breakfast Restaurants in the U.S. by Bon Appétit magazine. Completing the collaboration, we had Chef Karla Hoyos from Tacotomía, originally from Veracruz, Mexico, who trained under José Andrés at The Bazaar, cooked with World Central Kitchen in places like Puerto Rico and Ukraine, and was named a StarChefs Rising Star in 2024. The three came together for this very special brunch featuring their favorite arepas made with Harina P.A.N.

These highly recognized chefs, from different nationalities, came together to pay homage a nuestra cultura with their own interpretation of an arepa. Dishes included: Pan de Yuca con chutney de mamey to start; Chef Alejandra Espoinoza’s Arepa de Maíz Morado with goat ragú, sweet plantains, Cotija cheese, and ají de tomate de árbol; Alberto Zanetti’s Tina’s Crab Queen Arepa with crab salad and avocado; Chef Karla Hoyos’ Suadero Arepa with confit brisket, radish escabeche, and aguacatillo salsa. Oh, and of course we had Polar Premium beers (bien frías), mimosas de maracuyá, and Tres Leches de postre.

Everyone who attended The Hungry Post Brunch Club got an Harina P.A.N. and The Hungry Post branded gift bag.

Here’s what went down at this sold-out event!
