The Hungry Post Dining Club presented by Brugal 1888 Rum featured the most epic restaurant collaborations in Miami.

For the second dinner of this series, Chef Alejandro Rico of Uchi teamed up with Chef Raheem Sealey from Drinking Pig and the highly anticipated Shiso in Wynwood.

The incredible duo prepared a menu that blended Japanese flavors with American BBQ. Dishes included Cornbread “Crispy Rice” with miso honey and Hokkaido uni; Chargrilled Oyster with white cheddar foam and warm salami vinaigrette; Akami Curdo with red pepper relish and white ponzu; Sweet Potato Crème Brûlèe with white miso butter and seasonal mushrooms; Hiramasa with summer peaches; Baby Chicken with scallion waffle and kaluga; and Smoked Pear Pie with caramel sauce and milk ice cream.

To add a special twist, Derek Stilmann and his team at Bar Kaiju, one of Esquire’s Best New Cocktail Bar Nominees, created a Night of “Monstrous“ inspired cocktails featuring Brugal 1888 Rum. Guests enjoyed the Maneki Neko with Gyokuro tea, wasabi, green schezuan, fino sherry and juniper; the Chupacabra with mabi, Sakura Cola, vanilla and candied umeboshi; the Moon Rabbit with makkoli, peach, rice, chocolate malt and sherry blend; and the Phoenix with smoked plantains, ChuraKokuto, coffee molasses, amaro and lactose.

Everyone who attended the dinner got a Brugal 1888 Rum & The Hungry Post Dining Club tote bag with thank you cards, branded Brugal 1888 Rum Negroni tins, The Hungry Post branded hats and stickers; an Uchi cookbook, branded matches, and $25 gift card; a Shiso $50 gift card; and a Bar Kaiju signed cocktail card and gift card.
