An unforgettable rumba with dinner & cocktails by El Tesoro

The Hungry Post Sunset Party at Como Como & Mezcalista presented by:

The Hungry Post Sunset Party included RUMBA, cocktails, El Tesoro tequila sampling, and dinner.

On Saturday, August 7th, The Hungry Post hosted a Sunset Party at Como Como, a seafood restaurant (or marisquería) and raw bar located inside of Moxy South Beach.

Executive Chef Scott Linquist of Como Como created dishes inspired by the flavors of Puerto Escondido, Los Cabos, Acapulco and other Mexican destinations in a glamourous, dimly lit restaurant setting.

Dinner was a la carte and included dishes such as Pescado a la Talla. A typical snapper dish of Guerrero and Oaxaca, butterflied, grilled with salsa roja on one side and a salsa verde on the other. Hungries munched on favorites that included Esquites (Mexican corn with Chef Linquist’s twist), Carnitas de Hamachi (served with hand-pressed corn tortilla), Arrachera Steak and more.

The first 100 guests received a complimentary tequila sampling that included 3 different tequilas from El Tesoro’s portfolio to get the rumbita started. Guests also had the opportunity to sip on crafted Bruxo Mezcal El Tesoro Tequila cocktails such as the Paloma and Oaxacan Mule.

Dinner wrapped up and the Sunset Party continued on until 3 AM with reggaeton tunes in the main dining area. That’s not all though. For those that were curious enough to head towards the back of Como Como, passed the open kitchen, well consider yourselves lucky.

These Hungries stumbled into Mezcalista, Como Como’s hidden and intimate lounge. Where the music was all about the electronic and house vibes.

All Sunset Party attendees purchased an entrance ticket. Some of the entrance ticket proceeds went to #FeedTheChain, The Hungry Post’s social initiative to help keep South Florida’s food system alive.

By supporting The Hungry Post’s #FeedTheChain, we will continue buying meals from local restaurants in Miami and feed the most vulnerable in our community.

Thank you for your beautiful energy! For those that didn’t make it, check out what you missed and stay tuned for our next event.
