What to expect: Close your eyes, picture yourself traveling to a nice beachside restaurant in Brazil, open your eyes and there you are! Well, sort of. Ofa gives you a sophisticated atmosphere, along with a traditional menu, that offers all kinds of dishes you’d eat in a typical Brazilian home. Featuring a fun indoor bar, a delightful dining patio and garden lounge, Ofa is a new favorite on the Sunset Harbour area.
The Menu: Chef Flavia and owner Felipe wanted to offer Miami residents and newcomers something beyond the traditional Brazilian steakhouses, “a menu of progressive Brazilian cuisine, rooted in tradition but very much representative of the vibrant country’s rich, contemporary cuisine”. In our view, the mission has been accomplished.
A few fun facts about Ofa:
They have no large freezers in the kitchen. That means, every single day, they receive a new delivery in order to make things extra fresh for you.
On average, they make 1,000 pão de queijos per day! Imagine the smell in that kitchen…
They’re proud to be eco friendly: only paper straws allowed.
What to order: Let’s start off with some Brazilian classics here.
Pão de Queijo | Made-from-scratch Brazilian cheese bread accompanied by
homemade requeijão (Brazilian cream cheese) will leave you wanting for more and more.

Bolinhos de Arroz | Another classic appetizer/ side dish from Carnaval’s
hometown are these Rice croquettes. The right amount of crisp with a perfect bean sauce
dip. Can’t go wrong with that!

Ceviche | Where are the ceviche lovers at? If that’s you, do yourself a favor and
please give this a go. Freshly caught fish of the day served in coconut milk and crispy sweet potatoes on top. YUM!

Picadinho | If you want to know what a well-balanced meal is like in Brazil, go with
this. Ofa’s top seller for many reasons: small cubes of filet mignon, cooked in the tastiest meat sauce served with baked plantains, bacon farofa, crispy kale on a bed of short brown rice and topped with a fried egg.

Arroz de Polvo | Another house top-seller is the creamy octopus rice, quite similar to a risotto. Aside from being beyond flavorful, it’s just about the perfect portion to keep one satisfied.
Brigadeiro | If you have ever attended a Brazilian birthday party, you know about these amazing little things called “brigadeiros”. They are traditional milk and dark chocolate truffle balls that will rock your world like no other.

Cocada | If you’re a coconut fan, Cocada is your kind of dessert. Served perfectly warm and
topped with vanilla ice cream, this is an absolute must to end your day on a very sweet note.

Off the menu: Ofa always offer specials… and if those are well-received, they may just become permanent items on the menu. Also, check out the adorable outdoor area— it’s
pretty perfect for an intimate celebration 😉
How to score a table: The Ofa team gets a full house on the weekends. It’s best to reserve your table online or over the phone
