Lost Boy Dry Goods is a neighborhood bar known for its classic cocktails and a half-off happy hour. After months of not offering the weekday deal, the Downtown bar is back with Happy Hour on Monday through Friday from 4 PM until 7 PM with half-off pricing on all cocktails, beer, wine, and well spirits. Favorites such as the Gin + Tonic, Spicy Siesta, CBD Espresso Martini, and Penicillin cocktails remain on the menu and are priced between $7 to $8; while wine and beer options are just $4 to $5 by the glass.
Starting February 25, Lost Boy will be launching a new cocktail menu with ten new creations that will also be part of the Happy Hour program. New additions include Fortaleza Punch with Novo Fogo Cachaca, St. James Rum, Honey-Orgeat, lime and grapefruit bitters and Spiced Coconut Mu11e with E11EVEN vodka, lemon, house spiced coconut syrup, ginger and angostura bitters.
Lost Boy is open daily from noon to midnight, with Happy Hour available Monday to Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM. For more information click HERE.
A Pizza Pop-Up in Downtown

On Sunday, February 28 from 4PM to 8PM, InterContinental Miami will host the Il Maestro Pizzaiolo Pop-Up on the Bayside Terrace. Grab some amazing Neapolitan pizza outdoors with views of Biscayne Bay. Handcrafted pies including Traditional Margherita Pizza; Bianca Tartufata with black truffle oil and others as well as; Calzone al Pistachio served with warm pistachio cream; and Calzone di Ferrero Croccante, a warm calzone filled with Ferrero Rocher chocolate cream will be available. Chef Michael Schwartz launches a burger concept

Chef Michael Schwartz, has launched a digital-only burger concept “Genuine Burger” powered by REEF NBRHD Kitchens.
Genuine Burger’s menu will include:
- Secret Burger – The sleeper hit. A juicy beef patty is topped with two slices of melted American cheese, crispy fried onion rings, and two pieces of Applewood bacon. The finale is a slathering of Ranch dressing, heirloom tomato, half-sour pickle slices, lettuce, and red onion. Served with a half-sour pickle spear.
- BBQ Brisket Burger – caramelized onions, melted American cheese, smoked brisket with a BBQ glaze and all the fixings (tomato, lettuce, red onion, pickles) and a half-sour pickle on the side
- Pork Belly Genuine Burger – beef patty, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, BBQ glazed pork belly, a fried egg cooked over easy and all the fixings

An Indian restaurant focused on veggies

Diya is a modern vegetarian Indian restaurant located in Miami Beach’s Sunset Harbor neighborhood. It’s family-owned and led by Chef Vidya Maharaj, who is an epidemiologist by day and Executive Chef by night.
Diya is serving lunch and dinner both indoors and outdoors. Menu highlights include Vegetable Samosas, a crispy pastry stuffed with potato and vegetable; seven varieties of Dosas, a savory rice crepe served with sambaar dhaal and coconut chutney that can be customized; Eggplant Burger that comes with crispy eggplant with house-made cheese and BBQ sauce and served with masala spiced fries; and more.
They also have a Happy Hour from now from 12-7 PM on Tuesdays through Sunday featuring $5 Draft Beers; Kallan Vitners Boutique Wines by the glass for $8, bottles for $28; and $8 cocktails including the Peach Thyme and Miami Monsoon. They also have Vegetarian $8 bites such as the Gobi Manchurian, crispy cauliflower, fried and marinated in spices; Vegetable Samosa, vegetable stuffed crispy pastry; Chana Taco, curried chickpeas in a warm soft flatbread and more.

A NY Korean Steakhouse is now open in Miami

A NEW ROOFTOP RESTAURANT AND BAR

Serena is a new open-air rooftop restaurant and bar inspired by the patio restaurants of Oaxaca and Mexico City by Chef Scott Linquist and the Coyo Taco team. Located at the Moxy South Beach, this Latin and Mexican restaurant will offer happy hour, lunch, dinner, and brunch with live music.
The outdoor kitchen features a large circular stone mill for grinding the blue and yellow nixtamalized cornmeal where guests can see the making of fresh tortillas. Dishes include the Uni and Crab Tostadas, Squash Blossom Quesadillas, Steak Tartare and more.

Restaurant: Salt & Straw

Salt & Straw, a Portland-based ice cream company, is opening the first East Coast scoop shop on Friday, February 19 in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District. The small-batch ice cream brand will also open a shop in Coconut Grove.
Ice cream flavors include Honey Lavender, Chocolate Gooey Brownie, Panther Coffee Chocolate Tres Leches, The Salty Donut Guava + Cheese and more.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 6 from 12PM to 6PM, Salt & Straw will host an outdoor, socially-distant “Flavors of Miami” pop-up. The pop-up will take place in the parking lot of Pharrell Williams’ apparel and accessories brand store, BBC ICECREAM (255 NW 25th St.), who has designed a limited-edition Salt & Straw x ICECREAM collaboration T-shirt.
Flavors of Miami will offer guests complimentary samples of Salt & Straw ice cream as well as booths, giveaways and tasting opportunities by partners featured on Salt & Straw Miami’s opening menu including Panther Coffee, Exquisito Chocolates, Gables Delight, Coconut Cartel, Wynwood Brewing and The Salty Donut. Overtown Youth Center, Salt & Straw Wynwood’s charitable partner organization, will also be present and accepting donations to support youth and families in Miami’s Overtown neighborhood and surrounding areas.
Miami’s newest brewery opens on Friday

Restaurant: Cervecería La Tropical

Cervecería La Tropical, Miami’s newest brewery, will open this Friday, February 19 in the Wynwood Arts District with live music throughout the weekend. La Tropical will feature a state-of-the-art onsite brewing operation, a taproom, restaurant and botanical garden, as well as a live music stage.
The brewery will be led by Brew Master Matt Weintraub, who earned his reputation creating award-winning craft beer at the Florida International University Brewing Program. The taproom will house over 20 handcrafted beers from lagers, IPAs, sours, barrel-aged, and ales infused with local ingredients and the brand’s flagship La Original Ambar Lager, whose recipe is inspired by the original dating back to 1888.
Inside La Tropical you can also find a Latin Caribbean-inspired restaurant by Chef Cindy Hutson. The menu includes Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Malanga Potato Mash, the Trifecta burger with ground brisket, chuck, short rib, tamarind bbq ketchup, brioche bun. For more information click HERE.
Chef Jose Mendin opens an Italian restaurant

Remember the old Pubbelly space? It was small, cozy and Asian-style noodles were coming out of the kitchen. Starting February 10th, you can now get Italian food at that former location in Sunset Harbor. Chef Santo Agnello formerly of Lucali has partnered up with Chef Jose Mendin and Sergio Navarro to open Casa Isola Osteria. We did some stalking around on Instagram and you can expect dishes like a Raviolini ai Funghi (with porcini panna, wild mushrooms, and pinenut gremolata), Veal Parm, and Ravioli Bianconeri (with short rib, taleggio and balsamic beef jus). Our favorite dumpling pop-up is usually only open from Thrusday – Saturday night. This weekend they are extending their pop-up for a fourth night on Sunday. Your Valentine’s Day dinner for two will include 8 Dumplings per person (16 total), Mushroom Bao, Pork Belly Bao, Braised Rib, and dessert for a total of $95, all-inclusive. This special is running from Thursday, February 11th – to February 14th. A Valentine’s Day brunch worth the drive

On Sunday, February 14, Stage Kitchen & Bar will launch Sunday Brunch, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Chef-Owner Pushkar Marathe will feature a menu inspired by his travels. It will include Coconut Sticky Bun with lime cream cheese, English Breakfast Plate, Eggs Benedict — crab, avocado, turmeric hollandaise, and kale saag (vegetarian option), turmeric hollandaise, and the Chicken Kathi Roll – tandoori chicken wrapped with paratha, scrambled eggs, and mint chutney.
We love a good steak and fries dish so bonus points for thes Steak, Egg & Frites. Other lookers include Oysters — turmeric, truffle-yuzu mignonette; Bang Bang Cauliflower —mushrooms, paneer, mint, cilantro; Shrimp & Grouper Fried Rice — Benton’s bacon, “their kimchi”, peas, sesame oil, fried egg; Stage Burger — aged cheddar, caramelized onions, sunflower sprouts, “Aioli sourdough bun”; and a local favorite, Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. And as far as drinks go, we’ll be sipping on the Kimchi Bloody Mary with house-made kimchi.
Oh, and on February 14th, reservations with a minimum spend of $100 on the day of the anniversary, will receive a complimentary bottle of bubbles.
Chef Timon Balloo’s newest concept is open

The newest concept by Chef Timon Balloo—Mrs Balloo is now open at The Wharf Fort Lauderdale. The Pan-Asian food truck, named after Chef Balloo’s wife, will feature appetizers like Asian Street Corn; Crispy Panko Shrimp; Pork Dumplings, and Baos.
Entrees at Mrs. Balloo are all about customizable bowls. The Crispy Rice bowl combines the crunchy bits of cooked rice with fresh green onion, sweet soy and chili mayo with tuna. Shrimp lovers will enjoy the sweet and savory Dynamite Shrimp, featuring fresh shrimp with rice or crisp greens with cucumber, green onion and eel sauce.
Another New York restaurant lands in Miami

If you can’t get into Carbone, can we interest you in another Italian restaurant from New York? Osteria Morini from Altamarea Group (behind Michelin-star rated Marea and Ai Fiori) is opening on Thursday, February 4th inside the Kimpton Hotel Palomar in South Beach. The all-day menu will showcase pasta, prime grilled meats and seafood dishes. Morini will roll out first with dinner, followed by breakfast, brunch and lunch in the coming weeks. Outdoor dining will be available along Collins Canal.
Dishes we are looking to try include the Cappelletti with truffled ricotta and prosciutto, the Tagliatelle with bolognese ragu and the Cipolla side with onion carbonara and smoked pancetta. For reservations click HERE.
