The countdown to this year’s Oscars is officially underway! The 94th Academy Awards are streaming live on March 27, 2022, at 8 PM EST. This year they will be hosted by the amazing and hilarious Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, and Wanda Sykes.

Who will take home the Oscar for Best Picture?! Our bets are on ‘Dune’ or ‘The Power of The Dog’. Although for us, the real winner is the adorable eleven-year-old boy that plays Buddy in ‘Belfast’. He should win everything alongside Beyoncé who will be performing the nominated original song, ‘Be Alive’ from ‘King Richard’.

So yeah, we know where we’ll be Sunday night: at home, watching the action while playing host, and enjoying yummy food delivered by our friends at Doordash. Our favorite picks for the big award night include sushi, pizza, wings, and more. Check out the best delivery guide for Oscar night.

Neighborhood: Coconut Grove
Cuisine: American, Burgers

The burgers at LoKal are freshly ground by hand, in-house daily using free-range, Kobe-style beef from Fort McCoy Ranch in Marion County, Florida. You really can’t go wrong with the burgers here. Try the Frita by Kush, voted one of the top 52 burgers in the USA, with swiss cheese, guava jelly, potato stix, crispy bacon, and LoKal sauce, or the Royale with Cheese that comes with Jack cheese, Canadian bacon, white onions, BBQ sauce. We’re also obsessed with their honey mustard so make sure to order some extras for your 50/50 fries, that’s half sweet potato fries and half regular fries. To end on a sweet note, we’d go for the Lokal Key Lime Pie.

In the mood for seafood and/or sushi? Poke is the Hawaiian verb for “to slice or cut”, a raw fish salad served in Hawaiian cuisine. At Poke OG, expect the freshest, highest-quality ingredients for a delicious meal. The menu features bowls (build your own or from the menu), sushi rolls, sushi boxes, and poke platters.

The poke platters are a great option for 3 to 4 guests as well as the Rainbow Road sushi box that comes with 23 nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls covering tuna, salmon, hamachi, and ebi shrimp. All sushi boxes come with a delicious honey truffle soy sauce (as well as the original), yuzu citrus, spicy mayo, ginger, wasabi, and edamame. We recommend ordering 2 to 3 of these boxes for a group of 3 to 4 guests. They are beautifully presented and travel well.

Neighborhood: Midtown
Cuisine: Pizza, Italian

Spris was founded by Graziano Sborggio, who grew up in Treviso, Italy, and brought his talents to South Florida. We love their pizza, but they also offer antipasto, bruschetta, panini, and pasta. If you’re craving pizza, try the Alba with mozzarella, mushrooms, burrata, and truffle oil, or the Diavola with mozzarella and spicy Salame casalingo, similar to pepperoni.

Cuisine: American, Wings

Sports Grill originally opened in 1987 and quickly became well known for their “famous special grilled wings” and family-friendly atmosphere. While they are known for their wings, they also serve wraps, salads, appetizers, lunch, and offer catering. We recommend the Special Grilled style wings – dipped in Sports Grill sauce, then charbroiled and lightly washed with secret sauce (mild spice). If you’re looking for a spicier flavor, order the Dale Style: Special Grilled wings basted with “Miami heat” to create a smoky and spicy wing.

Azucar was founded in 2011 to make ice cream like abuela, using high-quality ingredients with a focus on tropical flavors. All flavors are rotated and made fresh daily. For the full Miami experience, indulge in the Abuela Maria: vanilla ice cream with guava, cream cheese, and Maria cookies.
