These are the best new restaurants on Miami Spice in 2025

The August heat is brutal, but we’re OK with it because Miami Spice is back. From August 1 to September 30, local restaurants are offering 3-course prix-fixe menus: $35 for lunch or brunch and $45 to $60 for dinner.

This guide is for the new restaurants doing Miami Spice for the first time in 2025. Some are recent openings, others have been around but are new to the program. The cherry on top: you get to try something new without committing to full price.

DANIEL’S

Neighborhood: Coral Gables
Address: 1500 San Ignacio Ave
Cuisine: Steakhouse, seafood
Miami Spice availability: Lunch Tuesday to Friday; dinner Sunday to Thursday; Sunday brunch
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

We’re in luck. Daniel’s, a Florida steakhouse from the team behind Fiola, has just opened in Coral Gables, taking over the former space of the Italian spot. Their Michelin-recommended Fort Lauderdale location set the tone, and this will be their second location in South Florida.

Most steakhouses are dim and moody, but Daniel’s is warm, bright, and great for family steak dinners, birthdays, client outings, or even an anniversary. They focus on seasonality and quality, sourcing ingredients locally, and importing products like 100% Coratina olive oil straight from Puglia.

And here’s the kicker: while most Miami Spice menus either skip the steak or charge extra, Daniel’s includes a proper filet with no upcharge.

Here’s what we order: Start with the Wagyu & Pearls or the Baby Romaine Basil Caesar. For your main, the 6 oz Demkota Heritage Prime Filet Mignon with housemade fries is a no-brainer. End with the tiramisu or vanilla soft serve to keep it classic.

AVIV

Neighborhood: Miami Beach
Address: 2341 Collins Ave
Cuisine: Middle Eastern, Israeli
Miami Spice availability: Dinner Sunday to Thursday
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

AVIV is the new Israeli restaurant by Chef Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook, located on the ground floor of 1 Hotel South Beach. The menu draws from traditional Israeli flavors with a modern, seasonal approach, and Miami Spice is a great way to experience it for the first time.

Every Spice menu starts with AVIV’s signature Hummus Tehina and a spread of Salatim that includes Moroccan carrots, cabbage with sumac onions, spicy fennel, and twice-cooked eggplant.

Then choose one mezze appetizer like the Amberjack Crudo with sun-sweet melon and schug oil, the Heirloom Tomato Salad with Bulgarian feta, or the Warm Stuffed Dates with goat cheese and citrus.

For your entrée, options include Eggplant with muhammara and walnuts, Moroccan Swordfish with peppers and ras el hanout, Pargiyot (grilled chicken thighs) with plum amba, or Turkish Kofte with esme. All are served with rice pilaf and a crisp salad.

Finish with either the Brown Sugar Soft Serve topped with pistachio rice crunch or the Guava Sorbet with coffee crunch.

SHISO

Neighborhood: Wynwood
Address: 239 NW 28th St
Cuisine: Asian, Japanese
Miami Spice availability: Dinner Wednesday to Sunday
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

Chef Raheem Sealey, known for his work at KYU and Drinking Pig BBQ, brings his blend of Caribbean flavors and Japanese technique to Shiso, an Asian smokehouse in Wynwood built around wood-fired barbecue.

For Miami Spice, start with the Stracciatella served with shiso pesto, XO sauce, honey, and sourdough, or the Bluefin Tuna with smoked pepper relish, red shiso, and chili oil. Entrées include the Smoked Sticky Ribs with puffed rice furikake or the Oxtail Udon Noodle with braised oxtail, jus, and cured egg yolk. For dessert, go with the Japanese Sweet Potato Cheesecake with passionfruit sorbet and kinako yuzu crumble, or the Miso Flan Donatsu dusted in spiced sugar.

AGUASAL

Neighborhood: Miami Beach
Address: 4041 Collins Ave
Cuisine: Mediterranean
Miami Spice availability: Dinner every day
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

Aguasal is a new coastal Mediterranean restaurant from the José Andrés Group, now open inside the Andaz Miami Beach. The menu draws inspiration from Miami to Majorca, and Miami Spice is a great way to get an early taste of what they’re doing.

Start with the Fried Oyster Mushroom with whipped hummus, za’atar, and lemon, or the Watermelon & Feta Salad with pistachio, watercress, and black olive. For your main, go with the Farm Chicken Tagine served with Moroccan spices, dried fruit, and couscous.

Dessert options include Saffron Arroz con Leche with caramelized attiki honey and lemon sorbet, or the Chocolate Cake with yogurt cream and ras el hanout ice cream.

DOUBLE KNOT

Neighborhood: Wynwood
Address: 2550 NW 2nd Ave
Cuisine: Japanese, sushi, izakaya
Miami Spice availability: Dinner every day
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

Double Knot, the Philly-born izakaya from Chef Michael Schulson, is now open in Wynwood with a Japanese pub-style menu that offers one of the most flexible Miami Spice menus this year.

You build your meal across six categories. Start with one dish each from their Cold, Small, and Crispy sections. That could mean Tuna Tartare, Wagyu Soup Dumpling, and Japanese Fried Chicken. Next, choose a Robatayaki skewer, a main, and a side. Options include over 20 skewers like Kobe beef, mains such as Broiled Seabass or Tonkatsu, and sides like Black Cod Fried Rice or Crispy Brussels.

PAYA

Neighborhood: South Beach
Address: 1209 17th St
Cuisine: Caribbean, island-inspired
Miami Spice availability: Dinner every day
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

Paya deserves a spot on your must-visit list. This island-inspired restaurant and bar comes from Mohamed “Mo” Alkassar and Chef Niven Patel, the duo behind FEAL Hospitality, known for Erba and Ghee Indian Kitchen. The menu pulls inspiration from the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and the islands of Spain—places where both have lived, worked, and traveled. Ingredients are sourced directly from Chef Niven’s Rancho Patel and paired with tropical, farm-to-glass cocktails.

This is the kind of Miami Spice menu that makes you want to try everything. Start with the Coconut Wahoo Ceviche, the Duck Confit Lumpia with butter lettuce and mint, or the Green Papaya Salad with pink shrimp and tamarind vinaigrette.

For your main, choose between the Jerk Eggplant Capellini with buffalo mozzarella, the Lemongrass Glazed Daily Catch in a coconut curry broth, or the Lamb Shank Curry served with Anson Mills polenta.

Dessert options include the Rum Cake with vanilla bean ice cream and toffee, Chocolate Mousse with raspberries, or the Coconut Key Lime Tart with Florida strawberries and chantilly cream.

SPARROW ITALIA

Neighborhood: Wynwood
Address: 255 NW 25th St
Cuisine: Italian, steakhouse
Miami Spice availability: Dinner Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

Sparrow Italia, the London-based restaurant from the Noble 33 group, has landed in Wynwood with a big space that still manages to feel intimate. With dim lighting, booths, and live music, it’s a go-to for group celebrations or a vibey night out.

The modern Italian menu pulls inspiration from across the Mediterranean, and while some Miami Spice dishes come with an upcharge, the ones we’ve picked don’t.

Start with the Crispy Arancini made with wild mushroom risotto, fontina, parmesan, and black truffle. For your main, Mikey’s Spicy Rigatoni alla Vodka hits the spot with bufala mozzarella, Calabrian chili, parmesan, and basil. End with the Citrus Olive Oil Cake with polenta, lemon, orange, and a scoop of passionfruit sorbet. If you haven’t tried it yet, now’s a good time.

RAO’S

Neighborhood: South Beach
Address: 1601 Collins Ave
Cuisine: Italian-American
Miami Spice availability: Dinner Wednesday to Sunday
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

Remember that scene in The Wolf of Wall Street when Jordan Belfort meets with private investigator Bo Dietl? The one where Bo warns him that the FBI is closing in? That moment was filmed at the original Rao’s in New York—one of the hardest reservations to land.

Rao’s brought that same old-school charm to Miami Beach when it opened inside the Loews Hotel, and if you haven’t made it in yet, Miami Spice is a smart way to check it out on any given Thursday.

Start with the Mozzarella Carozza, a fried mozzarella sandwich with marinara and lemon-garlic-wine sauce, or Rao’s Traditional Meatballs. For your entrée, go for Uncle Vincent’s famous Lemon Chicken, the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Chicken Parmesan, or a 6-oz. Prime Filet Mignon. Finish with a slice of classic New York cheesecake.

PASTA

Neighborhood: Wynwood
Address:
124 NW 28th St
Cuisine:
Italian, pasta
Miami Spice availability: Dinner Wednesday to Sunday
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

Miami can’t get enough of Italian food, and there’s a new spot to add to your list—literally called PASTA. This is the first U.S. location from Peruvian chefs Juan Manuel Umbert and Janice Buraschi, following the success of their original restaurant in Lima. Located in Wynwood, the space features an open kitchen and pasta bar so you can catch every detail as your meal comes together.

Their Miami Spice menu is exactly what you came for: pasta. Start with the Calamari Fritti, served with tartar sauce and Parmigiano Reggiano.

Next, choose from their housemade pastas like the Tuscan-style Pici with marjoram, crispy garlic, and Parmigiano, Fettuccine Verdi with caramelized leeks and lemon, or Fettuccine with housemade ’nduja and mascarpone.

End on a sweet note with two scoops of their housemade gelati or the Panna Cotta with burnt caramel.

ROSEMARY’S

Neighborhood: Wynwood
Address: 322 NW 25th St
Cuisine: Italian
Miami Spice availability: Dinner Wednesday to Friday and Sunday; weekend brunch
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

We’ve walked past Rosemary’s West Village location in NYC hundreds of times, but never stopped in. It took their Wynwood opening to finally get us in the door—and we’re glad we did. The outdoor terrace sets the scene for the Tuscan summer we’re manifesting in 2025.

This is one of those rare Wynwood spots that doesn’t feel like Wynwood. It’s relaxed, open-air, and ideal for an Italian-style dinner party with friends or family.

The Miami Spice menu starts with Prosciutto e Melone, served with sweet cantaloupe, burrata, aged balsamic, and mint. Entrée options include the Rigatoni with arrabbiata, burrata, and basil, or the Lemon Linguine with preserved lemon, parmigiano, and fermented chili. For dessert, go with the Bombolini—lemon ricotta donuts filled with Nutella cream.
