When we think of throwing a holiday office party our mind goes to that absurd movie about an office party gone completely wrong. This guide on where to host your holiday party in Miami, will be the opposite of that movie. Everything will go smoothly and it will be a classy affair. However, before we can enjoy all the drinks and food on the company’s dime, somebody needs to organize the team’s outing.

CHICA Restaurant serves Latin American food in a trendy setting in Morningside. Similar to Yardbird, they offer a la carte dining for groups of up to 12 people. Parties of 12 or more require a prefix shared menu for a seated dining experience. However, they also provide a more informal option of passed hors d’oeuvres with food stations/buffet menu options for reception-style events.
CHICA offers a beautiful private event space called JANE which can accommodate up to 36 guests for a fully seated dining experience and up to 75 guests for receptions. They also have semi-private function spaces including The Garden Atrium, The Lounge, CHICA Cantina, and The Main Dining Room. CHICA is also available for a full restaurant buyout. DOYA

Located in the heart of Wynwood, Doya offers contemporary Aegean cuisine and craft cocktails. Doya can accommodate groups of 8 to 240 guests (with complete buyout available). Pricing is contingent on the date, time, size, and type of event. Doya’s menu is based on meze or shareable plates which are served family-style. Large groups require pre-fixed menus, which typically include a variety of cold and hot meze, pide, and dessert.

SALUMERIA 104

Salumeria 104 in Midtown Miami fuses the Italian trattoria and neighborhood salumi shop concepts. Their Midtown location can accommodate groups of 26-28 guests. For large parties, Salumeria 104 offers two packages of set menus.

ARIETE
Neighborhood: Coconut Grove

Located in Coconut Grove, Ariete offers contemporary American fare in a modern farmhouse-style setting. Ariete’s private rooms can accommodate up to 50 guests for a formal dining experience or a cocktail reception setting, depending on the setup desired. The Garden area has the possibility to host up to 150 guests. Menus are served family-style and offer some of Ariete’s signature dishes such as grilled oysters, pastrami style short rib, and Candy Cap mushroom flan. For cocktail receptions, Ariete offers an assortment of options for passed canapés and hot & cold stations.
Ariete offers the possibility to reserve The Cave, a private dining area available for special occasions and events located underneath the restaurant in an underground wine cellar. They also have a covered outdoor terrace named The North Court, as well as The Garden at The Stirrup House (seats 150 guests). ORNO RESTAURANT

Located inside the THesis Hotel in Coral Gables, Orno focuses on New American cuisine that combines wood-fired meats, pasta, seafood, and vegetables from Rancho Patel, chef Niven Patel’s farm in Homestead. Nestled within Orno is The Library, an intimate private dining room that can host up to 25 guests.
The Library features floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, hand-painted in navy with yellow accents filled with classic books, and velvet blush drapes. Tying the vision is a neon sign reading “Knowledge is the food of the soul”, a quote from the philosopher Plato. The ‘library of classics’ found within is part of the inspiration behind Orno’s extensive menu of signature libations based on famous literary figures. VISTA RESTAURANT & ROOFTOP

Vista, is a two-story Italian-inspired restaurant, nestled in leafy scenery with an outdoor patio and rooftop. Vista offers three (3) set menus for events: Brunch (family style), Lunch & Dinner (plated, family-style, or buffet), and Reception (hors d’oeuvres or pass canapé). If you book the PK “Pineapple King” Room you will have a private dining room experience that holds 10 guests.
