The Hungry Post Sunset Party at Mr. Purple

The Hungry Post hosted a Sunset Party at Mr. Purple on Saturday, September 14th thanks to:

Whether a friend from Miami sent you our way or whether you searched for the best Latin parties in NYC, we were so happy to have you at our latest NYC Sunset Party on Saturday, September 14th.

You definitely came to the right place if you were looking for una buena rumba, to officially welcome the fall season in the city with drinks, bites and some real reggaeton (obvio).

We hosted the greatest afternoon party (that, yes, went on toda la noche) at Mr. Purple located on the 15th floor of Hotel Indigo in the Lower East Side, and we sure hope you didn’t miss it!

Miami and NYC Hungries started to arrive at 4 PM! The sun was out, the weather was a liiiiiiiittle crispy (great for some last rooftop action) and we took in the most incredible Manhattan skyline views! This time around, we started off at the rooftop and as the sun set, we moved downstairs for the afterparty at The Club.

We sipped on muchos Old Parr cocktails, munched on light bites and danced to the best musiquita Latina. Those smart enough to arrive early, skipped the line and enjoyed an exclusive Old Parr Happy Hour from 4 PM to 6 PM. Oh, and the first 100 guests also received an Old Parr cocktail on the house!

As for the food, we munched on a little bit of everything. Menu highlights included: Chips and Guac with blue corn tortilla chips; Hummus with seasonal crudité and pita bread; French Fries with harissa aioli; Rock Shrimp Tempura with spicy aioli; Tuna Tartare with malanga chips; and Mr. Purple Burger with American cheese and harissa aioli on a brioche bun.

We don’t want to brag, but la rumba estuvo buenísima! If you know us, you know that no Hungry Post Sunset Party is complete without un buen reggaetoncito and this was no exception. We danced pegadito to the latest and greatest hits played by our favorite DJs:  Juan Diego Viteri, Andre Ferro and AnyWhy.

Thanks for coming out to party with us as we welcomed the 2024 fall season (after a well deserved summer break)! We were so happy to finally see your pretty little faces again! Stay tuned for our next rumbita coming up!
