What to expect: Although it differs from the simpler more intimate Japanese restaurants in the West and East Village, this two-story Izakaya inspired restaurant will satisfy your appetite every time. Be ready to spend the big bucks or there’s always the option of expensing lunch with that SUPER important client. Choose to be seated in the main dining area, bar lounge, robata Japanese grill or private dining rooms for your night out.  You’ll be dazzled with the impeccable service, space and of course the food.

The Menu: Expect an extensive menu that includes snacks, cold dishes, robata grill dishes, a tempura section, the signatures, sushi and sashimi dishes, and dessert. We recommend you start off your meal with a Japanese Old Fashioned.

Order the Maguro no Tataki with thinly sliced seared tuna, chili daikon and ponzu sauce.

Build your own Tuna Tartare on brioche buns with quail eggs and truffle.

For sharing, we’d go with a Sushi Platter. Ours came with 3 kinds of tuna (o toro, chu toro and akami), kampachi fish, Canadian salmon, snapper and Saba.

Our favorite roll was the chu toro maki with tempura flakes, pickled daikon, topped with toro tuna. Don’t miss the wagyu gunkan and the uni and salmon nigiri by the piece.

For those that want to overdose on truffle, do not miss the Bone-in ribeye with shaved truffles, sea salt, wasabi salt, truffle salt, wasabi, and truffle butter.

If you still have room for more, we’d go with the Lobster No Tempura that comes with a spicy ponzu and wasabi mayonnaise for dipping.

Dessert has a special spot in our bellies, especially when it comes to Zuma’s dessert platter with chocolate molten lava cake, Chawan mushi (exotic fruits & egg roll biscuit) and the Mango sorbet, coconut ice cream, & fresh fruits. There’s something here for everyone between the tart and creamy flavors.

How to score a table: Reservations are available on their website for up to five guests. If you’re booking for a large party or are unable to find a table at your preferred time, please call +212 544 9862.
