We can all agree that Miami regrettably is not a walking city. However, there are some neighborhood exceptions. Brickell is the first that comes to mind. And with the chilly weather we are experiencing, we just want to walk. And if there’s a destination with bourbon cocktails, even better.

So here’s the plan: gather some friends and use this happy hour walking guide for where to get three bourbon cocktails and bites along the route.

First Stop: American Social

Time: 4 PM
Address: 690 SW 1st Ct
Happy hour menu is available every weekday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Miami professionals have checked out of the office. The days will go by slower and it’s universally understood that you’re not working as much during the holidays. If you have the luxury of working from home you can start happy hour earlier. Head to American Social for waterfront views and the Smoked Old Fashioned Cocktail ($8 during happy hour).

The Smoked Old Fashioned Cocktail is made with 2 fl oz Maker’s Mark, 1 sugar cube, 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters and a twist of orange peel. This classic cocktail really never gets old and is the perfect way to start the bourbon route. We love the sweet and wintery balance between the orange peel, bitters, and woody taste of Maker’s Mark.

Pair your Smoked Old Fashioned Cocktail with the Maple Bourbon Meatballs with smoked gouda and charred corn grits or the Key West Shrimp Cakes with Key West pink shrimp and a green goddess sauce.

Second Stop: Better Days

Time: 6 PM
Address: 75 SE 6th St
Happy hour menu is available every day from 5 to 8 p.m. All drinks are half off.
Better Days is a 10-minute walk from American Social. Just the right amount of time you need for a cocktail break. If you’ve never been to Better Days, it’s the sort of neighborhood bar where everyone knows each other. It’s reminiscent of the Stranger Things set with year-round Christmas lights and 80’s themed arcade games. We recommend you go for the Vieux Carre Cocktail ($7 during happy hour) while you play some Pac-Man.

The Vieux Carre Cocktail is made with 3/4 oz of Legent Bourbon, 3/4 oz of sweet vermouth, 1/2 oz Bénédictine Liqueur, 1 to 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters and 1 to 2 dashes aromatic bitters. Legent Bourbon brings together bourbon-making traditions from Kentucky with Japanese whisky blending techniques in aged sherry and wine casks. Taste the oakiness and flavors of spices, dried raisins with every sip.

Third Stop:Batch

Time: 7 PM
Address: 30 SW 12th St
Happy hour menu is available every weekday from 4 to 8 p.m.
After your second drink at Better Days, you’re getting hungry right? Walk 14 minutes from Better Days to your final stop at Batch. Watch all the sporting events here while drinking an Old Fashioned ($7 during happy hour).

The Batch Old Fashioned is made with 2 oz of Basil Hayden’s Bourbon, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 3 dashes Angostura bitters, 1 teaspoon water and orange peel. Basil Hayden’s notes of charred oak and brown sugar come through in this Old Fashioned. All you’re missing to end the night is a basket of boneless chicken wings.
