A little swing, and a little jazz
To fall in love all over again with Italian cooking is possible. Just visit Amare and rediscover how pure ingredients are enough to see the world with rose-colored glasses.
What to expect: Meet a friend for an early dinner and a little privacy, or stop by on a weekend if you prefer a little more background noise.
The Menu: Check out the weekly classics for some surprising combinations. Or, explore one of their many award-winning pasta dishes. There is a section for the love of meat, and yet another for lovers of the vegetable. Let your senses guide you. What to order: For the Hungries not afraid to share, get yourselves two starters, two pasta dishes, and a dessert. Then, of course, all the wine!
Carpaccio Amara: Thinly sliced asparagus and artichoke lay between layers of shaved Parmigiano Reggiano and carpaccio. A little drizzle of truffle oil and a sprinkling of salt finish this off. And we sure finished it off…
Burrata: Not all are created equal. This one, in particular, is one of the freshest we have had. Surrounded by cubed beets and cherry tomatoes, it is a must-order.Cappellacci di Branzino: The sea bass-filled ravioli gets its creaminess from the mascarpone, and pop of flavor from the Sorrento lemon, butter and sage. Find this option under the Pasta Fresca section of the menu. This delicate pasta is made in-house and is a good portion if you are looking to share a second option.
Off the menu: Have them read the dessert options and make sure you opt for limoncello to cap things off.
