What to expect: The moment you walk in you’ll quickly notice the Spanish décor from the blue plates on the walls to the intricate, colorful tiles on the floor. There’s a long bar ideal for happy hour, outdoor seating for breezy days and tables for all group sizes.
The Menu: At Bulla, aside from the food menu they also have a large selection of crafted cocktails and wine. We love that they have sections for everything: cheese and meat plates, small plates, large plates for sharing and seasonal selections.
What to order:
Bougie Palmer: We love drinks with funky names that call our attention and this cocktail did just that. This bougie cocktail has a boozie upgrade to the classic Arnold Palmer. Sip Tito’s Vodka, lemon, peach syrup, oolong tea and fresh lavender.
Clams with Pork Belly: For something light and easy to share, we’d recommend this dish. Bulla serves the perfect amount of baby clams and crispy pork belly with a grilled baguette to dip in a delicious broth of white wine.
Peas and Ham: Where are our bacon fans? Order this! Crispy Nueske’s Bacon, orecchiette pasta and snap peas are tossed in a green pea purée. The bacon adds the right amount of buttery fat without feeling guilty for indulging during bikini season.
Dessert Pears: Most people gravitate towards the churros at Bulla but we found this sweet gem. Warm pears are served with a berry sauce and ice cream to compete for the flavor explosion. We felt like we were eating Abuela’s apple pie with only a fraction of the calories. So that means we can order two for the table…right?
