La Santa Taqueria has opened up their brick and mortar taco shop in Little River.
WHAT TO EXPECT
At the corner of NE 82nd Street and 2nd Ave, you’ll find a hot pink facade adorned with a terrace and light-up signs flashing one of our favorite words: TACOS ! Inside of La Santa, there are several tables and an open kitchen aptly labeled “Taqueria”. For now, outside is what we can enjoy so grab a seat in their small patio with brightly colored umbrellas and lush landscaping. Background music includes Luis Mi cause what is life without him and some throwback tunes by Cristian Castro and Ella Baila Sola.
The menu includes over a dozen varieties of tacos (two per order), gringas, quesadillas, and shareable staples such as Guacamole and Churros. La Santa Taqueria also serves beer and wine, and they make a delicious Michelada preparada!
WHAT TO ORDER
The Guacamole & Totopos features fresh guacamole, tortilla chips, and authentic salsas of various levels of spiciness, so there is something for everyone. From right to left, we have the molcajeteada salsa, habanero salsa, chile guajillo salsa, tomatillo sals and pico de gallo.
Our favorite taco was the Carnitas. Classically prepared with confit pork, pickled and chopped onions, and a dollop of salsa verde. We also loved the Baja Shrimp and Pulpo, which were topped with fresh octopus and aji amarillo.
Don’t miss out on The Churros! They are an irresistible combination of crunchy and sweet. A great bite to end your meal.
