Ask someone in Miami, how many Cuban restaurants are too many Cuban restaurants. We dare you.

Another Cuban restaurant has landed in the heart of Little Havana and we’re not mad about it. The menu is inspired by a small fishing village in Cojimar, Cuba where Hemingway used to keep his boat. The Cuban Bar and Pescaderia’s menu consists of Cuban recipes with a modern twist from restaurateurs Eliesteban Mena and Oscar Rodriguez who also own Old Havana Cuban Bar and Cocina– a staple in Little Havana just a few blocks away.

What to expect:

This Ernest Hemingway themed restaurant welcomes up to 85 guests with indoor and outdoor seating. Expect to feel like you’re in a 1940’s Cuban living room, where abuela is letting you eat your fresh fish from the Florida Keys on the coach, cause mom’s not around. This cozy-yet spot with marble accents, dark wood finishes, beautiful crystal chandeliers and a bar that can seat at least 15 people and will serve up classic Cuban cocktails with live music in the background. Stop by for Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 4 pm – 8 pm; live music, daily food specials and much more.

The menu: Mainly for the seafood lovers, Sala’o offers a raw bar, a twist on Cuban appetizers, sandwiches, seafood dishes, poultry and meat options, a rice section, and desserts.

What to order:

Tirai’to- Mahi Mahi, Compressed Pineapple, Coconut Lime, Puffed Sasona’o Rice, Herbal Oil
