WHAT TO EXPECT
Chef Michael Schwartz has re-opened and debuted a new menu at Traymore by Michael Schwartz at the Como Metropolitan on Miami Beach.
The Como is a boutique hotel on 24th and Collins, designed in classic Art Deco style in the 1930s. Traymore inside of the Como has a beautiful outdoor patio framed in palm trees overlooking the pool area.
The menu is a blend of the Como brand’s focus on “healthy yet flavorful cooking” and the signature style of Chef Michael Schwartz. The “All Day” Menu, served for lunch and dinner, includes Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches, Pastas, and Entrees.
All menu items feature locally sourced produce and are designed to be shared.
WHAT TO ORDER
We tried some of the new items from the revamped menu. We recommend the Belgium Endives, a light yet satisfying wedge salad with blue cheese crumbles, walnuts, crispy croutons, and fresh herbs, drizzled with a tangy sherry vinaigrette.
Looking for something simple? Try the Spaghetti, cooked al dente and tossed with an unexpected yet delightful combination of blue crab, Calabrian chili, and lemon breadcrumbs.
Don’t sleep on the Roasted Chicken, served incredibly tender and juicy and simply topped with fried lemons and seasonal greens.
For dessert, we treated ourselves to the Hot Chocolate Cake, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and with enough caramel and almond crunch on the plate to build (and maybe share) several yummy bites.
