With the closing of Miami bars, we’ve enlisted the help of three master mixologists locally based in Miami to put together some recipes using Old Parr, a blended Scotch whisky with a smooth and accessible flavor that is perfect for sharing with your family and close friends.

Get ready to mix and garnish your cocktails. Sit on your patio or balcony and catch The Golden Hour with these happy hour cocktails using Old Parr 12 Years.

Ben Potts from The Sylvester, Beaker & Gray


Parr Tea Thyme (buck style)
  • 1.5 oz Old Parr Aged 12 Years
  • 0.25 oz black tea syrup
  • 0.75 oz lemon juice
  • Top Ginger Beer
  • Build in a Collins glass over regular ice and garnish with a thyme sprig and a lemon wheel.
Parr For the Course (julep style)
  • 1.5 oz Old Parr Aged 12 Years
  • 0.5 oz Rosemary syrup
  • Pour ingredients into a rocks glass, add crushed ice (put ice in a clean, lint-free towel and smash with a hammer) to glass, stir with ice, add more ice until it’s tightly packed, garnish with a rosemary sprig.

Halekulani Cocktail

Remixed by Esotico Miami. Original recipes from the House Without A Key lounge in the Halekulani Hotel, Waikiki Beach, circa the 1930s.

  • 1.5 oz Old Parr Aged 12 Years
  • 0.5 oz unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz orange juice
  • 1 bar spoons grenadine
  • 1 dash Exotic bitters ( angostura and allspice liquor equal part)
  • Shake well with ice cubes. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Miamian Rhapsody
  • 1.5 oz Old Parr Aged 12 Years
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1 oz orange juice
  • 1 oz orgeat syrup
  • 1 oz Alamea Hawaiian coffee liqueur
  • Shake well with ice cubes. Strain into a collins glass over new ice
  • Add more ice preferably crushed.
  • Garnish with fresh mint

Fraser Hamilton from Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply


Scots Wha Hae
  • 1.5 oz Old Parr Aged 12 Years
  • 1 oz crabbies ginger wine
  • 2 drops aged balsamic
  • Stir and serve over Large format ice. Garnish with an orange peel.
Old Blood Sour
  • 1.5 oz Old Parr Aged 12 Years
  • 1.5 oz blood orange
  • 0.5 oz Rosemary simple syrup
  • Optional egg white
  • Shake hard, server without ice in a chilled cocktail glass. A flamed sprig of Rosemary to garnish.
