We all love to treat ourselves. Once a year, for two months, Miami Spice gives us a chance to do that more often than usual. Not only is it budget-friendly, but it’s a chance to work down that restaurant wish list that we all have. One of our favorite things to enjoy at a special price is steak!

We know you’re busy wading through the restaurant list and menus while coordinating with friends to make reservations. So to make your life easier, we’ve curated a list of where to have your next Miami Spice steak experience, covering a variety of neighborhoods. And don’t worry about the fine print. All seven of these restaurants have steak on their Miami Spice menus without an upcharge.

1. RED SOUTH BEACH

Red, a staple in the South of Fifth neighborhood since 2008, has won numerous well-earned awards as a steakhouse and for its wine program. If you were waiting for a special occasion to cross this one off our list, wait no more!

Chef Peter Vauthy is offering a weekly themed menu during Miami Spice. This week (8/9 to 8/15) is Seafood Week, but there are plenty of meat and poultry options, in addition to seafood. Classic appetizers include a Caesar Salad and Shrimp Cocktail. They offer a Certified Angus Beef Petite Filet Mignon, plus a Berkshire Pork Chop, and poultry and seafood entrees. All desserts are made in-house. And we’ree looking forward to the Lemon Tartlettes.

2. THE WAGYU BAR

Neighborhood: Coral Gables
Address: 2257 Coral Way
Miami Spice availability: Lunch Monday to Friday
Book your table: HERE
View menu: HERE

The Wagyu Bar is a recent addition to Miami’s steakhouse scene. They’re owned by Meat N’ Bone, a renowned butcher, so the focus is on the meat itself. Known as Miami’s “first casual steakhouse”, this is a great option for excellent meat at lunchtime.

This Miami Spice menu stands out for a few reasons. First, the appetizer course includes your choice of beer, soda, or a glass of wine. Also, unlike most Spice menus, the menu is set (one option for each course). However, both the appetizer and entree courses have steak! The first course is three pieces of A5 Bites, Japanese wagyu beef breaded in panko and fried. The entree is Steak Frites, a cut of USDA prime outside skirt steak with handmade french fries. Dessert is a Cookie Skillet, which can be swapped out for a glass of wine (why not?).

If anyone knows steak, it’s Argentina. New Campo is in “Little Buenos Aires” at 69th Street and Collins Ave. This authentic Argentinian steakhouse features top quality Angus certified steak as well as pasta, pizza, salads, and traditional Argentinian dishes.

Appetizers include Empanadas, Carpaccio, the Wow! Caesar Salad, and Calamari. If you’re going for steak, the Spice menu includes a Prime Flap Steak and a Prime Picanha Steak, as well as seafood and a Chicken Parmigiana. For dessert, try the Dulce de Leche Crepe or the Homemade Cake of the Day. If you are in the mood for a splurge, upgrade to Miami’s Best Chocolate Souffle for an extra $5.

4. EDGE STEAK & BAR

Neighborhood: Brickell
Address: Four Seasons Hotel, 1435 Brickell Ave
Miami Spice availability: Dinner Monday to Sunday

Edge is located inside the Four Seasons in Brickell. The restaurant is known for its weekly Sunday brunch, but its all-day dining is also noteworthy. Chef Aaron Brooks has created a menu highlighting seafood, meat, and locally sourced vegetables and fruit. This restaurant has been a favorite of the Brickell business set for years, but during Miami Spice you can enjoy dinner without an expense account.

There are two choices of appetizers: a Pork & Duck Terrine or a Celery Root & Sunchoke Soup. Main courses include a Wagyu Top SirloinSwordfish Cazuela, and a Berkshire Pork Chop.

5. BOURBON STEAK

Neighborhood: Aventura
Address: 19999 W Country Club Dr
Miami Spice availability: Dinner Monday to Thursday & Sunday

Bourbon Steak by James Beard award-winning chef Michael Mina is a standout experience. This is where you go for country club vibes, duck fat fries, a gorgeous bar, and butter-poached steaks. Lucky for us, they are participating in Miami Spice weeknights for dinner.

To start your meal, you can choose amongst four appetizers, ranging from salad to foie gras. We loved the Spicy Beef Lettuce Cups. This Spice menu stands out because the entrees come with a selection of sides, so diners select from three entrees and three sides. We recommend the 6 oz Filet Mignon with the Black Truffle Mac & Cheese. Dessert selections include a Chocolate Molten CakeNutella CheesecakeStrawberry Greek Yogurt Panna Cotta, and a Tropical Key Lime Pie (because, Miami).

6. LT STEAK & SEAFOOD

LT Steak & Seafood is located inside the Betsy Hotel on Ocean Drive and is a great destination for outdoor dining by the beach. The restaurant is known for their USDA prime or black angus steaks and fresh seafood.

This Spice menu is a great option if you are in the mood for a lighter meal. Appetizer options are the Local Fish Agua or a Carpaccio. For your entree, you can enjoy either the Flat Iron Steak or Black Bass. Dessert is house gelato/sorbet or the Passion Fruit Pavlova.

7. TORO TORO

Neighborhood: Downtown
Address: 100 Chopin Plaza
Miami Spice availability: Dinner Tuesday to Saturday

Chef Richard Sandoval celebrates gourmet food and spirits at the Intercontinental Miami. Unlike a traditional steakhouse, Toro Toro offers a Pan-Latin fusion experience in a sleek setting.

The appetizer options are generous for Miami Spice: in addition to a salad option, they offer Smoked Pork Belly and Bone Marrow & Short Rib. There are two entrees: a 7-ounce Skirt Steak and Frito Chicken Thighs. Desserts are an assortment of Latin specialties such as Chaja Rum Cake and Lychee & Raspberry Granita.

This year in light of last month’s tragedy in the Surfside condo collapse, the Miami Spice program hosted by the GMCVB will be giving back to the Surfside restaurant community. When you book through Opentable from August 1st– September 31st, all proceeds through those bookings will be donated to relief efforts to help uplift those impacted by the tragic event.
