The Miami Beach Edition has it all. From bowling to Michelin-star dining to poolside sipping, you’ll never have to leave the hotel until check out.

We’ve said it once, we’ll say it again, “we live where others vacation…” However, from time to time, we too need to get away from our own versions of reality, even if it’s 20 minutes away from home. Picture this: waking up to screaming babies versus the sound of the ocean? We’ll take the latter.

And although it’s pretty much sunny in Miami year-round, everyone knows that our summer actually means hurricane season and loads of grey days. Miami weather: if you’re going to rain on our parade, we prefer room service and those chocolates under our pillows.

If you need to disconnect and take a little breather from the kids, cats & dogs, you’ll want to hear about Stay Baby Stay, an original staycation series by The Hungry Post. This one goes out to all those that aren’t hopping on a plane anytime soon but still need some downtime. Want to hang out by the pool, lounge around, hit the treadmill, have a spa day, wear a robe all day? We’ve got you.

No need to fly for this one, all of these destinations can be reached by foot, bike, car or train.

In the second episode of Stay Baby Stay, we’re taking a closer look at one of our favorite hotels in Miami Beach, The EDITION. Check out our recommendations and tips for our 48-hour weekend escape.

Address: 2901 Collins Ave, Miami Beach
What you need to know: HOLA! We live here now…You’d never suspect that there’s an underground night club when entering the Miami Beach EDITION. The lobby breathes of tranquility with white marble floors encompassed by palm trees throughout. Take notes if you ever want re-decorate your home. This lobby is up there in the rankings. It has a lounge area that includes a bar for welcome cocktails and a billiard table for those that fancy a game of pool. Towards the left, you will also find Market, a restaurant concept by Michelin star Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten. Lobby food never tasted this good but more on that later. For now, we’re settling into our room. We’re all about a good mini-bar game and the EDITION isn’t holding back. They’re fully equipped with Justin’s peanut butter cups and Casa Azul Tequila. Looking to book your room? Click here. The Miami Beach EDITION is pet-friendly and offers rooms with ocean view. You’ll never want to leave, trust us.

What you need to know: When someone says relax, this what they mean…The Miami Beach EDITION is located on the quieter side of Collins Avenue, the one we actually prefer. The private beach isn’t over-crowded and neither are the two ample sized pools in the hotel. Service is impeccable. It’s like the waitstaff can read minds and know when you will be hungry and thirsty. They have these sample-size smoothies that they pass around the pool and beach to keep you refreshed. There’s nothing we love more than eating by the pool, order Jean George’s Sweet Pea Guacamole with toasted sunflower seeds and warm crunchy tortillas. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, try their complimentary cotton candy made-to-order. We’ll be here all day and so could you. This food hall inspired restaurant is one of our favorites, we recommend you stop by before the end of September for their Miami Spice menu. Can’t make it in time for Miami Spice? Don’t worry. With ocean and poolside views, Matador Terrace invites guests to experience Chef Jean George’s take on Latin American and Carribean fare in an open garden ambiance.
