In most parts of the US, September signals the end of summer and the changing of seasons. Meanwhile, in South Florida, it’s still boiling hot and we don’t even know what Summer Fridays are. Unfair work practices aside, what we do have is restaurant deals…lots and lots of restaurant deals.

Although Miami Spice keeps Hungries happy (and full) in the summer, Palm Beach has its own version called Flavor, kicking off with a delicious bang in a few days. So jump on the Brightline and explore some new restaurants without doing damage to your wallet. Here are our top favorite menus on Flavor Palm Beach

1. Florie’s

Address: 2800 S Ocean Blvd, Palm Beach, FL 33480
Flavor menu available: Dinner $45, add wine pairings for $25
What you need to know: Three Michelin star/World’s Best Chef, Mauro Colagreco. Did you hear that, Hungries? Stars. Michelin. Stars.
What to order:

  • Appetizer: Heirloom Tomato & Peach Carpaccio with Sicilian pistachios, chives, ginger vinaigrette
  • Entree: Australian Wagyu Beef with red peppers, housemade shallot vinaigrette
  • Dessert: Chilled Exotic Fruit Soup with coconut ice cream

2. PB Catch

Address: 251 Sunrise Ave, Palm Beach, FL 33480
Flavor menu available: Dinner $45
What you need to know: Chef Arron Black serves some of the best sustainable seafood in South Florida. Get there early and score 2 for 1 drinks and 2 for 1 oyster during happy hour (4:30-6: 30 pm).
What to order:

  • Appetizer: Choose two items from the “Seacuteruie” menu. Our favs are the Salmon Pastrami with rye crouton, kraut, 1000 island aioli, and the Jalapeño cured Hiramasa with tomato compote, cilantro, aji amarillo aioli
  • Entree: Cioppino with clams, mussels, rock shrimp, fresh fish, tomato fennel broth, espelette pepper, grilled crostini
  • Dessert: Blueberry Sunday

3. CPB at The Colony

Flavor menu available: Lunch $25, Dinner $45
What you need to know: Do it for the gram. Palm frond wallpaper and pink golf carts make the perfect backdrop for channeling your inner Palm Beacher. Afterward, take a stroll on Worth Ave (aka the OG Design District) and dream about one day inheriting a large sum of money.
What to order:

  • Appetizer: Coriander & Cilantro Cured Loch Duarte Salmon and Avocado Ice Cream with raisins, crema, chili, beet (Yes to ice cream appetizers!)
  • Entree: Grilled Hearts of Palm and Zucchini with Thyme Dumplings, eggplant, tomato, warm capers, lemon vinaigrette
  • Dessert: Sour Cream Mousse with Preserved Peach and Brown Butter, sweet corn ice cream, puffed sorghum dulce, chili

4. Avocado Grill

Flavor menu available: Dinner $35
What you need to know: The most casual of our picks, Avocado Grill in downtown WPB is one of our favorite eateries. I mean, you had us at avocado. We love the super chill retro vibe that Chef Julien Gremaud created, and the lively restaurant is often packed with the younger Palm Beach crowd.
What to order:

  • Appetizer: Lamb Slider with cucumber feta yogurt, paprika aioli
  • Entree: Summer Vegetable Truffle Risotto with peas, broccolini, grilled Corn, green beans, baby heirloom tomatoes, beech mushrooms
  • Dessert: Nutella Avocado Mousse

5. Meat market

Flavor menu available: Dinner $45 (Monday – Thursday only)
What you need to know: During Spice/Flavor/Crave, it’s obvious to all of us when a restaurant goes cheap on the prix-fixe options (yes, we see you) but at Meat Market, the featured entree prices could easily surpass the $45 menu. Plus, the glam 1970s Halston vibe will transport you to NYC, and couldn’t we all use a getaway?
What to order:

  • Appetizer: Wagyu Beef Dumplings with kimchee cabbage, brown miso aioli
  • Entree: 10 oz Prime Ribeye Steak and Bone Marrow with short rib marmalade, wood-grilled sour toast
  • Dessert: Fireman Derek’s Red Velvet Cake with vanilla ice cream, salted caramel sauce
