This year we’re not going to get into why Cinco de Mayo isn’t really a holiday, let alone something that Mexicans celebrate. Let’s face it, all we want is another excuse to sip our margaritas, mezcal cocktails and eat some carnitas tacos on a Sunday.
So in light of that, we’re bringing to you the spots we’d go, if we were you to celebrate what we like to call Cinco de Margs, but most commonly known as Cinco de Mayo or Cinco de Drinko.

Taquerias El Mexicano will be open all day (starting at 10:30 am) until late.  In addition to the special celebration, Los Altos will open its doors at 2 PM.   There will be amazing drink specials offered all day long at both places.   Live entertainment throughout the day featuring live music, live dancers as well as DJ sets by DJ What and DJ Zion.  All guests will also have a chance to receive special giveaways throughout the day/night.

This Cinco de Mayo, drink the night away at South Beach’s hidden gem, The ScapeGoat. On Sunday, May 5th, the intimate bar is hosting a not-to-be-missed Cinco de Mayo party featuring Espolón Tequila. This Cinco de Mayo, Beaker & Gray will be throwing it back with an original cocktail dating back to before the bar opened. Created by Bar Director Ben Potts, the Wynwood hot spot will offer Tamarind Agua Fresca ($12), made with Don Julio Blanco, Cointreau, tamarind and tangerine. To complement the refreshingly tequila-forward drink and help keep the party going, Chef Brian Nasajon has created a Steak Chalupa which will be offered from 6 PM until close.
