1. Alter

For the minimalistic dad that is all about experiences

Four years later Alter still holds a very special place in our stomach. Dad will love this one of kind experience at Alter. Alter’s cuisine is focused on responsibly sourced ingredients from Florida, with an emphasis on seasonal flavors. The menu has a 5 Course, 7 Course and Chef’s Tasting Menu as well as ‘Enhancements’ which can be added to the tasting menu of your choosing. Think smoked koji duck and white asparagus chowder.

What you need to know: We love that the Mexican food scene in Miami has broadened and now offers Baja Cuisine. Dad is going to love Pez for all its fresh flavors. Renowned chef Javier Plascencia is brought seafood flavors from Tijuana all the way to Miami. With six restaurant concepts in Mexico, Chef Javier Plascencia has opened up his seventh concept in downtown Miami. What you need to know: La Placita is serving brunch from 11 AM – 4 PM. Try their huevos benedictos, tortilla española, and tostadas Francesas de Mallorca. Need something refreshing for this heat. Order the Limoncillo pitcher made with Havana Club Blanco, house-made Arnold Palmer, sugar, Kaffir lime.

7. Isabelle’s Grill Room & Garden

What you need to know: Treat dad to a Father’s Day at Isabelle’s Grill Room & Garden, Coconut Grove’s gorgeous and chic eatery. For Brunch, diners can enjoy a la carte brunch from 11AM – 5PM and with the option to add bottomless Bloody Marys and Mimosas ($22 per person). Chill out to the sounds of a live jazz duo while diving into options like Raw Bar items and refreshing starters like roasted Beets with Greek yogurt; Jumbo Lump Crab Cake; and Burrata. Signature brunch dishes include Chicken and Waffles; Challah French Toast; and classic Eggs Benedict. For dinner, moms will receive a complimentary glass of Prosecco and the choice of entrée specials or the regular a la carte menu. What you need to know: Miami’s very own Chef Michael Beltran is inviting imbibers to celebrate Father’s Day at his popular Coconut Grove eatery Ariete. Diners can indulge in a decadent brunch buffet with signature brunch offerings like the frita benedict made with Sam’s biscuit, chorizo, hollandaise, papitas; breakfast burrito made with scrambled eggs, American cheese and potatoes; guava & cream cheese pancakes; French toast sticks with cinnamon sugar and condensed milk, and much more. Additionally, it will feature a prime rib carving station. The brunch is priced at $39 per person and $25 for children (12 and under). Upgrade to bottomless mimosas or London Dry Bloodies for an additional $22. If guests prefer to sip on a refreshing cocktail, they can opt for the Ron Magill with Elephant Gin, Yuzu & Lemongrass Puree and garden basil or the classic Chug’s Ol’Fash with Four Roses Bourbon, demerara, bitters – smoked in apple wood chips. Ariete is located at 3540 Main Highway in Coconut Grove. Brunch is served Sunday, 10AM to 3PM.

9. Fi’lia South Beach

What you need to know: Acclaimed Italian restaurant Fi’lia South Beach at the Berkeley Shore Hotel is giving Dads the gift of a full (and satisfied) stomach this Father’s Day with a prix fixe menu only available on Father’s Day! At $39/pp, guests can choose from specialty dishes like Smoked Beef Carpaccio Arugula, Capers, Mustard, Parmesan; Fritto di Mare Calamari, Shrimp, Zucchini, Spicy Mayonnaise, Lemon; Raviolini Short Rib Short Rib Sugo, Rosemary Crumbs, Caciotta Tartufatta Cheese; and Tagliatelle Bolognese Homemade Pasta, Veal & Beef Ragu, Parmesan Rosemary to name a few. Top it all off with a choice of Cream Caramel Dulce de Leche, Whipped Cream, Fresh Berries or Espresso Chocolate Mousse Whipped Cream, Chocolate Sauce, Berries for dessert! 10. International Smoke

For the meat-eating dad that will never deny a bourbon cocktail. 

What you need to know: International Smoke will be offering a special cocktail pairing dish for Father’s Day. The featured dish will be a special Bone-In Ribeye that will be topped with Rye Peppercorn Sauce then smoked and served with a side Crushed Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus. A Bulleit Rye Old Fashioned will be paired with the grade-a steak.  The dish pairing will only be available during Father’s Day and will be priced at $65. International Smoke is open for brunch from 11:30 AM – 4 PM and for dinner from 4 PM – 10:30 PM on Sunday.
