The Hungry Post Sit at the Bar Dinner Series in Chicago, presented by Mastercard, spotlights some of the city’s best restaurant bars.

Created for those who enjoy exclusive dining experiences, this series delivers unique menus, custom cocktails, and the bar’s incredible vibe—exclusively available for one night only.

On Thursday, October 1, in partnership with Mastercard, we took over Kayao in Old Town, one of the city’s standout destinations for upscale Peruvian and Nikkei dining. The menu here is all about fresh seafood, creative variations on leche de tigre, and Piscos. For this experience, we enjoyed a yellowfin tuna and scallop tiradito with a Thai leche de tigre, a crispy causa roll with acevichada sauce, and a lobster bucatini with yuzu kosho butter and caviar. Of course, the cocktail program featured Pisco Sour, Chilcano, Espresso Martini, and a Kayao Lychee Martini inspired by Mastercard, which was created exclusively for this dinner experience.
