An exclusive dining experience in Miami presented by Mastercard

The Hungry Post Sit at the Bar Dinner Series, presented by Mastercard, spotlights some of the city’s best restaurant bars.

Meant for those who thrive on the bar’s energy, this series brings together incredible food, handcrafted drinks, and a great vibe—only available for the evening.

On Thursday, September 24, in partnership with Mastercard, we took over Mae’s Room, the newest neighborhood bar to open in Coconut Grove. Picture a cozy cocktail den with a U-shaped bar, a banging playlist, and a focus on classic and contemporary drinks.

This Sit at the Bar dinner highlighted a collaboration featuring cocktails by Tom Lasher Walker from Mae’s Room and dishes by Drinking Pig—Chef Raheem Sealey’s highly recognized American barbecue concept with Caribbean influences and bold flavors.

The evening featured brisket and sweet potato croquettes, fried chicken with pickled watermelon, and jerk snapper with a side of  smoked sweet potato. The entire dinner was paired with an incredible cocktail lineup including Beny’s Daiquiri made with aged rum and banana to complement the banana bread pudding dessert.
