The Hungry Post Sit at the Bar Dinner Series in Chicago, presented by Mastercard, spotlights some of the city’s best restaurant bars.
Designed for those who believe the best seat in the house is always near the action, this series is a chance to experience exclusive, one-night-only menus paired with crafted cocktails, all while taking in the restaurant’s contagious energy.
On Thursday, September 10, in partnership with Mastercard, we took over Akiro Hand Roll Bar in Chicago, a Nikkei spot all the way from Madrid that opened in River North in 2025. This unique experience focused on Japanese technique and bold Peruvian flavors, featuring shrimp tempura, tuna tiradito, toro caviar nigiri, salmon truffle nigiri, ebi furai handroll, short rib handroll, tres leches, and signature cocktails.
